Growing like a weed!!

Victoria is growing like a weed! Bryan and I are having so much fun with her. She has somewhat of a schedule right now which is great for mommy. We only have 2 nightly feedings- 2:30 and 5:30. She takes a morning nap and afternoon. Last night she refused an evening nap and was awake from 5:00 till 10:30. She is just like her daddy (god knows I would be asleep by 8:00 if I could everynight). She just started smiling this week when you kiss on her. She is even talking some. It is the cutest thing ever!! She loves to be held all the time so mommy puts on the babybjorn and we do our chores. I even had to wear the bjorn at target yesterday and to lunch (yes, I ate with her sleeping in the bjorn). She hates the carseat and will only tolerate it if we are moving in the car. Once she knows the car stops, she screams. That's my child!!! ;)

This past week we had our first play date with Gracie and Braden. Gracie was so fasinated with Victoria. It was so cute. We had so much fun and it was great for me to get out!! Thanks Jen and Kim, you guys are the best!!

Daddy took some pictures this week but Victoria didn't want to look at the camera. I'm posting one just to show you how big she is getting. Her rolls of skin are filling out!

Monday will be one month!!

Time is just flying by and Victoria is growing like a weed. Well to be honest she should be since she is eating all the time!!! And with eating comes pooping!! My baby book says they only poop once or twice a day or even every other day. Well my daughter is trying to beat some kind of world record because she is going 4 to 5 times a day. It is ridiculous!! And why didn't I invest in pamper's stock??? By the way Jenny, our diaper bill is not $20 a month, more like $20 a week. You lied!! LOL!

Bryan and I spent this weekend trying to get some good pictures for her announcements. Who knew taking baby pictures would be a 2 day project!! Here are some. Enjoy!

3 weeks!

I can't believe 3 weeks has went by since my baby love has come into this world. Everyday I see a change in her. Yesterday she really saw me for the first time. We must of stared at each other for a solid minute. It melted my heart.

2 really cute things recently is her noises she makes and drinking vit B. When you make a noise, she will make one back at you. I just love it!! Also, for about a week we have been giving her vit B through an eyedropper. Well Bryan described it perfectly when he said it's like watching a dog eat peanut butter. It is the funnest thing to watch her suck that stuff up. We got it on video so I will try to upload it one of these days.

I have been trying to take pictures everyday of her. Here are two recent ones. She must think she's going to be a model oneday because the girl is always posing, even when sleeping!! :)

Victoria Catherine Iredell

This Christmas was the best Christmas ever! On December 22 at 3:18 pm, Bryan and I welcomed Victoria Catherine Iredell into this world. She weighed 7 1/2 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. We hoped for a natural birth (that means with drugs but no knives!! Drugs are a must!!) but after 3 hours of pushing the doctor called for a c-section. Victoria was sunny side up and just too big. So everyone says c-section babies have a perfect head, well not our baby!! Bryan was reassured by the doctor that her head would shrink and it has!!

So far things are good. At her 2 week appointment she was 7.9 lbs and 21 in. long. She loves to eat and is a huge thumb sucker! She makes the cutest faces and melts our hearts when she smiles (granted she has no idea what she is doing). Here are some pictures from birth, then 1 week and then 2 weeks.
